Position: Retail Associate 

PT/FT: Part-time 

Description: We are looking for a retail associate to join our team who will contribute to a positive customer experience through sales and excellent service. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, a problem-solver, engaging and has a passion for design or marketing. For this position, weekend availability is a must. 

Tasks include, but are not limited to: 

• Oversee the sales floor and sales activities during scheduled shifts 
• Provide a warm and welcoming customer experience 
• Share product knowledge, recommendations and relevant design advice 
• Ensure sales floor is tidy, stocked and displays are refreshed as needed  
• Understand and know pertinent operational procedures to properly perform daily operations
• Familiarize yourself with product knowledge and services offered by Summer Made
• Perform opening and closing duties, including cash management, inventory and cleaning 
• Execute POS duties in an efficient and timely manner
• Assist in receipt of shipments, as well as processing, organizing backstock and merchandising 

A bit more about what we’re looking for: 

• Experience in retail, marketing, merchandising, design or with e-commerce is a plus 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; eagerness to engage with customers 
• Proactive, able to multitask, creative thinker, go-getter attitude, organized, and attention to detail 
• Availability to start immediately and able to work 3-4 weekend shifts per month 
• Ability to move or handle merchandise weighing up to 20 pounds
